COVID-19 Response

With the increased concerns of COVID-19 and suggested actions passed down from the Federal and State levels, we are making some internal adjustments to GNWKCF operations until further notice.

Starting Friday, March 20, our office location will be closed to visitors.  Our staff will remain available for questions and will continue with day-to-day responsibilities through a balance of remote and in-office work.    We will not be traveling for foundation or organization held meetings; however, if schedule allows, we could be available through conference calls or video conferencing.

Please email all accounting documentation, including deposit transmittals, check requests and grant requests, to  We will do our best to ensure all payables and receivables are processed in a timely manner.  Carol will continue to monitor all incoming grant and scholarship applications submitted online through Foundant.  Gennifer is working with John Griffin at Stewardship Counseling on the Estate Planned Giving process, and they will determine individual meetings on a case-by-case basis.

At this unprecedented time of social distancing to help slow / stop the spread of COVID-19, we encourage local community foundation boards to use technology to hold virtual meetings to make funding decisions.  We have compiled a list of free resources to help facilitate virtual meetings and listed them on the right navigation pane under “Resources”. One area that community foundations may want to consider is how to address the special needs in our communities subsequent to the emotional, financial, psychological and other stresses from the COVID-19 challenge.

We will continue to strive to provide our utmost services to our affiliated foundations, organizations and donors during this transition period.  We appreciate your patience and support during this Coronavirus pandemic.  There are many unknowns with the COVID-19 so we will continue to monitor the situation alongside our current action plan and will update you on any additional adjustments.

Since we will be doing some remote work from home, the following are contact methods to reach each of us directly if you cannot reach us at the office (785-734-2406):
